You can highlight an address and then drag and drop it onto the sidebar (either the grey dropbox or actually on the map will work). Try highlighting this address and then drag and drop it onto the open sidebar: 1981 Landings Drive Note that the title given to the addresslist item is that of the webpage, as you dragged from here it will be given the title 'Address Handling'. You can edit this which we will look at a bit further down. You can highlight an address, right-click and select 'Map Sidebar: Locate...', 'Map Tab: Locate...' or 'Map Preview: Locate...'. Try highlighting this address and adding to the sidebar - sidebar can be open or closed. The Map Tab shares the same addresses/locations as the sidebar, it is entirely up to you which you ultimately prefer to use. It is recommended that you explore the Preview Panel after you have become familiar with the Sidebar or Map Tab as it contains a subset of their functionality. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway,
If you hold down the SHIFT key when you drag and drop, a temporary marker will be displayed and the address list item is not added to the address list Finally for this section, we will look at adding Google Maps or Yahoo Maps links. Drag and drop or right-click and select 'Open Link in Minimap Sidebar' these two links:
Edit/Delete Addresses If you followed the step above, you should now have 4 markers/addresslist items, all with the same title. To edit, right-click on an item and select properties from the popup menu. A dialog should open, make your changes and then click ok to save. Note the small map in the edit properties dialog - you can drag the marker to refine it's position which will be saved when you submit the property changes. To delete an address, right-click on an item and select delete from the popup menu. |
