The Minimap Sidebar has the ability to discover geographical content on websites (geoDiscovery). The first items the addon will look for after page load is geourl's in the HEAD (ICBM or geoposition). If these are found the geoDiscovery statusbar icon (credits to geotagicons.com) will 'light up' to notify you that the page you are reading has a geourl associated with it.

Click on the statusbar icon and select 'geoDiscovery' from the menu and you will be presented with a submenu containing the geourl lat/lng (there may be two entries if the page contains both ICBM and geoposition), click on the lat/lng submenu entry and the Map Preview Panel will open with a marker for its location.

The addon will also scan a page for the presence of text geotags (geo:lat=, geo:lng=) and again 'light up' the geodiscovery icon.

Firefox 3 users will also see microformat ADR and GEO items in the geoDiscovery list.
