New for Firefox 3 users, the Map Panel offers quick and easy access to addresses and directions without having preload and save in the Sidebar or Map Tab.

It is recommneded that you fully explore the Sidebar/Map Tab and their functionality before exploring the Preview Panel as it offers a subset of the core functionality found in these elements.

There are four ways to access the Preview Panel, (1) CTRL+SHIFT+M (2) from the browser right-click menu (3) From the toolbar button dropdown menu. If an address is highlighted the location will be displayed, however if there is no selection then it will prompt you for an address.

Map links will display, but the Preview Panel does not display kml/geoRSS.

Directions:

Directions functionalty is similar to that offered in the Sidebar/Map tab, except that they cannot be previewed in the panel itself.

Web Services:

A subset of the web services are present in the Preview Panel. Click on the service button to open the address/location in a new tab.

Adding to Address List:

After having previewed the address/location in the Panel, click on the top right hand button to save it to your address list. Alternatively, click on the second button down to add the address/location to your address list as well as open it up in the Sidebar or Map Tab for further exploration.
